Seven Hills / Wentworthville Zone Athletics Carnival 1500m Information

As we know that schools have been completing their Athletics Carnivals, we would like to clarify a few things for students who make it into the Zone Carnival.
For the 1500m event, this is based on times rather than which place they come at a school level. Schools submit the students’ times to the zone convenor/s and the top 15 competitors times are selected from each age group and gender to compete at zone.
After all times are collected from schools, students will be notified via their school sports organisers. Even if a student competes well at their school level, it will not necessarily mean that they progress.
Remember also that students will need to make qualifying distances/heights for field events to progress. Students also need to meet the qualifying time for the 800m event. Please speak to your school sports organiser if you have any questions about these.
