2026 Seven Hills / Wentworthville PSSA Swimming Carnival

The SH/W Zone Swimming Carnival will take place in Term 1 Week 7, Wednesday 13th March 2026

• Selection for the Sydney West Regional Carnival will be as follows:
  • 50m Freestyle and Relay events – 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd in the Final will qualify.
  • Form Strokes – 1^st and 2^ndbased on the times from all heats will qualify.
  • All qualifiers will need to have met a qualification standard set by the Convenor.
  • 100m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley – selection to compete at the area carnival is by INVITATION ONLY.
    • This is decided by the convenor based on the top 10 fastest times submitted by each Sydney West Zone.

  • Event Dates:
    • Regional Carnival: 18 March 2026
  • Short Turnaround Time
  • Due to the short turnaround between the zone and regional carnivals, it is crucial that all necessary
    permissions and payments are completed before departing the zone event.
    • Entries for the regional carnival must be submitted to the Sydney West convenor on the evening of 13 March.
      Permission to Attend the Regional Carnival
    • Students who qualify for the regional carnival must have their permission slips signed before leaving
      the zone carnival venue on 13 March.
    • Please be aware that failure to provide a signed permission note on the day of the zone carnival will result in the student being ineligible to attend the regional carnival.
    • To facilitate this process, if your child/ward is likely to advance, please ensure their guardian has all the
      following information and the authority to sign on your behalf:
      • Child’s full name and date of birth
      • School name
      • Parent/caregiver’s first name, last name, phone number, and email address
      • Medicare number
      • Any allergies along with a copy of your child’s ASCIA plan (if applicable)
      • Permission to publish your child’s name
    • Note: Permission to publish allows your child’s name to appear on electronic boards and printed
      materials rather than being listed anonymously as ‘Child A’
